MPTCP? A definition...
The MPTCP protocol (Meeting Places Transmission Control Protocol) is a delay-tolerant transport protocol specifically designed for embedded applications, ad-hoc topologies and sensor networks.

It is completely limited to the Transport layer in the ISO stack, while upper levels applications can use specific APIs to tune working parameters and control the operations.

MPTCP works over un-modified IPv4/v6, features end-to-end security by the use of asymmetric cryptography and offers adaptive payload compression.

Wednesday, 10 May 2006

From today the MPTCP website is up&nunning. This update includes also the first version of the protocol Draft and a simulation model for OMNeT++.

We will soon include other documents and a "30-minutes live demo" of the protocol!
